The Ask Questions, Yo Meme

Late again. I'm supposed to be studying today. Hasn't happened.

Today's questions come from Sunday Stealing - as always.

1. Are you a very open or private person?

Though I'm pretty open, I am really very private. It's not in what I do say, it's in what I don't say.

2. Change one thing about the world what would it be?

I'd severly limit ultra conservative politicians and shoot all climate change deniers.

3. Live in any country/city, where would you choose?

I'd love to live in London again.

4. What perfume do you wear?

I mix it up a bit. Lady Vengeance, Issey Miyake and Green Tea in summer.

5. How are you feeling right now?

Good. Just been to the movies.

6. If money was no object, where would you move to?

I'd love a big house with a garden in the suburb I currently live in.

7. Who was the last person to make you cry?

Oh, some wally. He's not in my life any more.

8. What age do people usually mistake you for?

Often I'm thought to be in my mid to late thirties. I'm 47.

Yeah, this. Doesn't matter what version.

The odd game on my phone, that's all.

Turkish apple iced tea with dinner. Yum.

15. Have you ever tripped while walking up the stairs?

16. Is there something you’re happy about at the moment?

I'm in a good spot with my assignments this term.

17. Are you a shy person?

Strangely yes. I get laughed at when I say this, but I really have to work at not being shy.

The 25 Large Meme

Here is the rub. It's 7.15 am. I have a left butt cheek that has the lump the size of a tennis ball on it which is both painful and making it hard to sit. I have a lot of study to do. I won't make pump because of the large lump the size of a tennis ball on my left butt cheek (not that it hurts to walk, it's a bit uncomfortable). I was going to cook lunch for the week, but I don't have any paprika - I have all the other spices, but not paprika. I have a lot of study to do.

It'scome down to doing this meme, courtesy of Sunday Stealing, or going to get some paprika. And icing my arse cheek and taking some nurofen (advil).

Travel anywhere, where would it be?

At the moment, I'd love to do a few days in Siem Reap to go and visit Angkor Wat. Maybe later in the year.

Meet anyone, who would it be?

Clive Owen, please.

Bring anyone dead back to life, who would it be?

I don't believe in bringing people back from the dead, but I really wish Philip Seymour Hoffman and Alan Rickman didn't die. I mourn the films they never made,

I also wish that my niece could be happy and healthy and still on the planet. She died four months ago. It feels like days in some ways, years in others. 16 is not a life.

Be anyone for a day, who would it be?

I like being me, thank you very much. That will do.

Get anything for free for the rest of your life what would it be?

Ice cream. I'm a simple soul.

There is a part of me that would love to be happily married. Not on the cards, but I'd love to see what that is like.

I'd love to have the power to heal cancer.

Be any animal for a day which would you be?

I'd love to be a well loved cat. That would be great.

Date anyone who would it be?

Clive Owen

Change one thing about the world what would it be?

I'd love to get rid of every loopy far-right wing politician about. The moderates can stay, but the Tea Party and the Uglies of the Australian Parliament have to go.

Live in any fictional universe which would you choose?

Can I please go be a teacher at Hogwarts?

Eliminate one of your human needs which would you get rid of?

Hunger.

Change one thing about your physical appearance what would it be?

I am working on being 20 kgs lighter than I am now.

Change one of your personality traits which would you choose?

I wish that I was not such an over-achieving perfectionist sometimes. Just sometimes - but that makes me who I am.

Be talented at anything instantly what would you choose?

I'm currently wishing I could channel Charlie Kaufman. I'm not a scriptwriter. My papers are due in 21 days.

If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?

Clive Owen would be nice. I'd also love to meet Charlie Kaufman (or one of the Cohen brothers) for some tips on this bloody script.

Erase an event from history (make it so it never happened) which would you choose?

I know it shaped the world and helped bring on a heap of inventions but I'd love to erase World War II. Getting rid of the invention of the gun would also be a good thing.

Have any hair/eye/skin color, which would you choose?

I'm a green eyed, pale skinned brunette - I'm fine with this mix.

Be any weight/body type, which would you choose?

I'd love to be two inches taller and a lot less chunky.

A cure for leukaemia that was fail safe and not a burden on all.

Have anyone beside you right now, who would it be?

Clive Owen would be nice. Or one of the Cohen brothers to help me with this bloody script.

The Ask, Ask, Ask Meme

As always, it's do a bit of this and do a bit of that on a Sunday, after a lovely, lazy Saturday. So, it's do a question, write a bit of my tute paper.

Have I told you how much I love study?

Questions, as always, come from Sunday Stealing.

Clive Owen. Next. Somebody practical and with a sense of humour would also be good.

Rather good, thank you.

I'm a white chocolate sort of girl, so white Lindor balls always hit the sopt.

Many years ago I wanted to run a marathon and I started this blog to document that journey. I've run a number of half marathons, but the 42.2 kms remains elusive.

Sunday Stealing, of course. I'm rather fond of The Plastic Mancunian as well - he makes me laugh.

6 - When was the last time you cried? Why?

Yesterday. Somebody touched a nerve. It wasn't a big cry.

No. If you can't take me for me, go away.

I'm in a lovely mood - though I do wish this tute paper would write itself.

Clive Owen. Maow Maow - not that Maow Maow is a person, but he makes life better - gives the best cuddles.

No. Grudges are pointless. Waste of emotional energy.

No. As a writer, I'm good at putting words around things like this - unfortunately most of these words are expletives.

29 - Did you ever feel like you’re not good enough?

You're talking about the first 35 years of my life. Thank goodness for therapists.

The Survery 2123 Meme

It's Sunday. I've worked out that I've spent nearly $600 on Tupperware in the last two months (Bad Panda) I think I'll be cooking from home for the next two years to pay for the stuff - mind you, the Tupperware microwave pressure cooker cooks things up a treat.

Anyway, while I'm writing my tute paper for this week while considering these carefully considered questions courtesy of Sunday Stealing.

Is your birth year an odd or even number?

Even.

Which one of your friends is the most outgoing?

I have a friend in book group who's a classic extrovert - she's up there. Jonella's partner, Stav is up there too.

Have you eaten any of your favorite foods today?

I had my regular "Eggs on Fire" for breakfast after the gym today. It's scrambled eggs with chilli, spring onions on Turkish Toast. yum. I have not had any ice cream, thank goodness.

When did you last find yourself in an awkward situation?

The other day. I had to make a small comment about a personal hygiene issue at work. Awkward but dealt with using a lot of tact.

When was the last time you ignored, or went against, someone’s advice?

I rarely listen to other people's advice. I'm known for it.

What happened?

Nobody's told me "Told you so."

How many different towns/cities have you lived in?

Hmmm, here we go, Adelaide, Myponga, London, Melbourne and Mykonos for a few months. I've lived in various locations in Adelaide, London and Melbourne.

A couple of months ago I had a Nutella donut. I can't have Nutella very often - too much of it and I get a migraine.

Who is your favorite character in“The Big Bang Theory”?

I don't watch Big Bang very often, but I rather like Leonard and Amy Farrah Fowler.

What are your parents’ middle names?

Mum doesn't have a middle name - she was named after her uncle who died in World War I. Dad's middle name was Geoffrey.

Name someone with a sexy sounding voice.

Kenneth Branagh. I loved Alan Rickman and Philip Seymour Hoffmann's voices too - what a pity they're no longer around. Most English actors have great voices. Makes up for their bad teeth.

No. My sister's eyes are a lighter green than mine.

How many pets do you have? Would you like any more?

I don't have any pets - but I do borrow friend's cats when they go away. I have Ms White Thing staying with me at the moment. I would love a cat of my own.
