It's a sunny afternoon up here in Darwin and I put on my big girl pants and hopped on the bus to go to a local shopping centre about 15 kilometres away. I'm glad I did it. It was good to get out of the city for a bit and my reason for going - a nearly dead Apple Watch, died on the way home - so life is good and back to normal with the new one. And you get to see a bit of the suburbs. The great thing about buses in Darwin is that they are free. Saying that, I wouldn't get on one at nighttime, but as public transport goes, not having to pay for your 45-minute bus ride is really good. And they buses are air conditioned.
Anyway, it's my writing weekend, so I'll get the questions out of the way.
Questions, as always, have been provided by Sunday Stealing.
1. When are you at your blogging best – a.m. or p.m.?
I have a sweet spot when I write either in the afternoon or between about 8-10 in the evening. I seem to get more done and better words then.
2. How many blogs do you have? Please include the links in your answer.
I have two blogs. This one and one on Substack, which I use for my notes on earworms, poetry and what I would call better writing. Here's the link to the Substack - I like using it. https://pandorabehr.substack.com. In the words of Garron Noone, follow me, I'm delicious.
3. Do you prefer silence when you compose your posts and write your comments?
I like a bit of noise around me. I've just got my AU/ADHD diagnosis and it makes sense that I like a bit of noise around me to still my magpie mind.
4. What's the grossest thing you've ever spilled on your keyboard?
I spill everything on my keyboard, but once I tipped the whole of my dinner - spaghetti bolognese on my keyboard. Needless to say, I had to go get a new one in the morning. There was no coming back from that.
5. Ever posted while intoxicated?
Not massively intoxicated - I haven't been drunk in years. I'll occasionally have a gin and tonic while writing, but it's one gin and tonic. I know the adage goes that you write drunk and edit sober, but no blogging. It goes out too quickly.

there was this blogger in Oklahoma named Dustbury (Charles Hill) who started blogging in the mid-1990s(!) who was terribly prolific. Unfortunately, he died as the result of a car accident in 2019. Unfortunately, I'm not finding the site archived. He said that he and I were magpies, flitting frtom one topic to another. https://www.rogerogreen.com/2019/09/09/dustbury-charles-g-hill-1953-2019/
Sorry about your keyboard, but spaghetti bolognese sounds delicious.
I've never spilled on my keyboard. I think it's pure luck!
