Here's my business idea for when I'm between jobs and waiting for my next role to come in. Hopefully this won't be long. Between having a good clean up around the flat, going into the library to work on that bloody novel and job hunting, I'd like to have a small income stream.
So, here's my idea.
Witchy Feet
See, I have other talents. I'm not just a technical writer. I'm a dab hand at tarot cards - I think there are some people out there can provide testimonials for this.
The other things I'm really, really good at is reflexology. Playing with people's feet. Not only in a comforting way, but in a therapeutic way. I trained in London a long time ago and found a natural affinity for it (I also give a decent relaxation massage). There are people who come and see me now and then. As I mix the modality with reiki, it's a wonderous thing - great for the body, mind and spirit.
So, I was thinking - which I know is always dangerous, I could put up my shingle and say I'm available for sessions. $100 for in house (with a bit of notice so I can clean) or $150 for an in-home visit. Sessions last between an hour, to an hour and a half and would consist of a 45-minute reflexology and reiki session, and a 20-minute tarot top up - just to see where things are at.
I've looked about. I could create the website - looks like nobody has that name for a business... I can't find a website with that name.
This is something I could never do full time - it's too draining and doesn't have the mental stimulation I required (or the pay cheque) but could be a good way to make some beer money while I'm between jobs.
I'm back from Europe in the first week of October.
I'll take bookings.
