A Lady who Lunches

I'm becoming one of those people.

I look at the Miffy Board - it's 11.30 p.m.:

Job Hunting: Done

Read 50 Pages: Done

Exercise: Done (gentle gym session, abs, roller and stretching)

Clean and Tidy: Done (An hour of ironing counts)

Social: Done (Spent an hour on the phone talking to one of my book group - while ironing)

Writing: Underway - and not the writing I will have to be more disciplined about.

The hardest thing about today was packing away my packing cubes. They've been in constant use for two and a half years, keeping things organised when I've been on holidays and back and forth to Darwin, and it was with a sense of sadness that I bundled them up and put them in the drawer. I have no idea when they will be used again. Maybe Christmas. Maybe sooner. I've got other things to think about than travel at the moment.

Next thing on the list to organise was lunch. Lunch is a very import think when you're alone, between jobs and starved of company.

I'm doing well. Thursday and Friday are covered. Wednesday there are people coming to get things and to fix things. T

Next week's plans are well underway too. Lunch up in Woodend on Tuesday, Engineer Lunch Wednesday, Working to see one of my old work husbands another day. I'll see if the newly retired EJ wants to go for a swim one day. What else is he doing?

I'm a social flutterby.

It gives me some cheer that people want to see me. Not just the cat.

Now, I have the last two items on my micro list to finish - both beige tasks (Write to Alan and take your Metamucil - I told you they were beige tasks) and I'll be off to bed.

Today's song
